THE JONES HOUSE

HISTORY

The Joneses were the second owners of the home and lived there from 1964 to 2017. The courtyard bridge originally crossed over a swimming pool. After the Jones’s children grew up, a Japanese garden replaced it. The kitchen was renovated in 1987

DESIGN FEATURES

  • Nod to Asian architecture
  • Embrace of indoor-outdoor connection
  • Pecky Cypress on exterior and interior of home
  • All doors are custom made from pecky cypress
  • Exterior stone is granite from Georgia and most likely came from the mine that the Brad Wofford’s brother ran.
  • Interior granite fireplace surround
  • Every bedroom opens to an outdoor space

Updates since 2017:

  • Addition of maple hardwood floors
  • New primary bath renovation with custom teak vanity and concrete sink and counter
  • New hall bath vanity with custom teak vanity and concrete counter
  • Installation of recessed lighting and ceiling fan fixtures. Previously, most bedrooms had one central can light
